In 2006, Markus Berres, a craftsman for over 30 years, and his wife Eva created a company focusing on skilled work in the renovation of houses in the Languedoc area, of southern France. Their workshop is in St. André de Roquelongue in departement of the Aude, close to Narbonne.
Their aim is to offer high quality work in the true spirit of craftsmanship, while respecting the environment.
They will support your project with experience and advice, individually tailored to your needs.
They are committed to carrying out their work with respect for the human being, nature, craftsmanship and architectural heritage.
They cover not just major works like modifications to walls, creating openings, the renovation of facades, roofing, the building of terraces and balconies, but also finishing jobs like parquet or tile flooring, bathrooms, made to measure furniture, decorative pieces based on client sketches, or modifications to existing doors and windows (e.g. to make them draught proof)

The entrepreneur

Markus Berres passed his apprenticeships as a roofer and zinc worker as well as joiner and cabinet maker with distinction in Germany, he then worked in different joineries until he moved to France in 1996.

He has worked in France in the renovation business for 9 years and being experienced in the different building trades founded his first micro company, and in 2011 changed it into a limited company.

He bought and renovated a Manor House built in 1889 respecting the historical architecture as well as the ecological aspects of the materials. He created a holiday flat on the 2nd floor – have a look at

Markus Berres continues his commitment for the environment by using ecological materials even when these were difficult to find in the Corbières area,

like lime (multiple functions), linseed oil, organic insulation materials such as hemp, recycled paper, cork, etc.. and wood, when possible, from nearby sawmills.
